I was looking for a replacement radio as my old deck was shot. I wanted something cheap and since I don't listen to Satellite I wanted to give HD radio a try if it was within my price range. This radio definitely did the trick. Low price with many features that I wouldn't expect at such a low price.
In terms of analog reception, it's fantastic. On AM I can finally catch some stations in clearly that before came in with a lot of static. FM seems to be good in most cases, or at least not any worse than before.
The AUX and USB functions are great as well. I just wish I could use the USB port to charge my MP3 player. Instead you can use that USB port with a USB stick and play music on that.
The sound quality is great, much better than my old deck even on analog stations.
The HD radio is good, but it could be better. I live north of New York so I'm not right in the city, more like an hour north. I find that the reception of the HD tends to be very flaky when you're at quite a distance from the station's location. I find that many times the station will be in HD and then go out. This is annoying when you are listening to HD2/3 stations in that you lose reception completely. With regular stations you will instead hear the sound quality drop, which is quite noticeable, but isn't that bad to get used to. When the station actually does lock in on the HD, however, the sound is fantastic. I just wish they could expand the range so that people who don't live in cities can enjoy the HD quality.
