I was looking to upgrade to a system with an aux input for my MP3 player--after looking around I couldn't believe the features on this unit for the price. After using the unit, some thoughts...
HD-Radio: Depending on where you live and the stations available, this can be a huge upgrade. Sound of a clear FM isn't THAT much different but AM radio gets a big boost from HD treatment. The biggest feature for me is the expanded stations offered (3 different NPR and CSPAN stations---my usually lame rock station offers a channel aimed at underground/indie rock).
USB: If you don't own an MP3 player already you can go out and buy an 80 GB external drive for like $50---fill it with tons of songs---plug it in here and BAM! you've got your entire collection in your car.
Sound: There was a noticeable punch to the music when I installed this system even WITHOUT upgrading the speakers. When turned up, my factory system created a blunt 'wall of noise' with little definition; now my turned up system reveals the separate instruments and does a nice job of representing the frequency spectrum.
Bottom Line: If you are looking to upgrade your system for a relatively cheap price, I haven't seen a better option.
