Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers Decide Now

Don't be fooled by the low price. I thought I would purchase these speakers to replace some stock speakers in my truck. I really didn't think they would sound as good as they do, but I did think they would be better then the stock units I had.

They sound great! The lows, mids and highs are very clear.

What a bargain, price was perfect and they sound great.

I have bought more expensive speakers in the past, and these sounded just as good as them if not better.

Lowest Price Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers

I purchased 2 sets of PL-63BL speakers. These speakers deliver an outstanding price/performance value. A little bright/tinny in the highs, but a reduction in treble takes care of that, and saves a few watts. The bass is lacking and a subwoofer is definitely welcome to help pick up the bottom 2 octaves. Overall, as replacements for OEM speakers, you cannot go wrong. I would highly recommend the Pyle PL-63BL speakers to those on a budget.Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

These speakers are inexpensive, but also cheap.

They sound OK now, but long-term? Within a week of installing them, the metal grills had separated from the plastic bracket, with the "glue" that originally bound them oozing out as a black goo. I re-attached them with super-glue. Shoddy design in one area may spread...

A piezo tweeter? That's nothing to brag about, it's the sign of cutting costs; frequency response is inferior to a similar size conventional design.

I had 16 dollars, and I thought, "maybe I should throw this money in the street. What, I can get new car speakers for 16 dollars? OK." They sound fine for 16 dollars, but I have no illusions about longevity or "intended quality."Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

Cheap Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers

For a while I've been looking for a decent pair of audio speakers for my car, so I shopped online, read many reviews and came across these babys, read the reviews on this product and was very impressed, so needless to say I own a pair and pleased to say I am very happy with this product, these speakers turned out to be better than the factory speakers installed, the best part is it didn't break my wallet, infact these speakers are very affordable, most recommended.Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

I don't think you will find better speakers for the price. The bass is clear and the mid and high ranges are crisp. They handle high volume with minimum distortion. I am sure there are better speakers on the market, but you have to be a real purist to tell the difference in a car installation. They sound great and I am very pleased with the purchase.Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

I got these speakers for a temporary change of my stock speakers cause they were cheap and at the time i was on a budget. I never would've thought that i would get this type of quallity from these speakers. I hooked it up to my head unit and boy did they get loud. Unfortunatly at full blast it had some notable distortion, so i keeped the volume down about half way, and believe me that was loud enough. I have one of those tuner exhaust systems on my car so i needed to drown it out with music and these did the trick. Later on i hooked these bad boys up to an amp, and tuned it properly. After that they weren't just loud, they were screaming down the block. At full volume there was no distortion to be found. Hooked up to the head unit, good speakers, hooked up to an amp, great speakers and highly recommended.Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

Hoped to replace blown-out Dual XP65i rear speakers in my '94 Subaru Legacy wagon with some $25-30 speakers, but the frame is too deep for the rear deck and don't fit flush; they stick up ~1/2" (:-(

Will continue to look for proper replacement (being much more skeptical of compatibility charts; a fine example of something best purchased from a local store but, alas, my nearby stores only offer $100+ speakers.)

No one will argue that these speakers are cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are actually quite good on the highs and mid-range and if that's all you need (ie. if you have a seperate sub-woofer or don't listen to music with much bass) then you can't beat the value. But trust me, if you listen to music with any significant amount of bass these speakers will start to distort at mid-volume level and just sound bad any louder than that. I checked the tech specs. and found the frequency response only goes down to about 90Hz vs other higher-end speakers which generally go down to 30-50Hz.Get more detail about Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

I bought the Pyle speakers to put into a center channel speaker enclosure for my 5.1 Dolby sound system. I did not use them in an automobile system.
My amplifier is rated for 8 ohm loads, so I put the speakers in series inside the enclosure.
The mounting instructions were clear and the hookup wire and mounting hardware were adequate. I painted the enclosure black and used the grills on the outside so it looks good, even though its hidden in the back of the entertainment center.
They sound great and have cleared up the muddled sound from the previous enclosure I was using. I haven't turned up the volume yet, but I am sure they will work very well at higher sound levels.

I waited too long to install these and I'm really bummed because I wish I could return them. they don't fit and sound awful.
I bought these as , I thought, drop in replacements for my Honda CR-V's existing rear speakers. My honda is a 1999.
WRONG! I can't get two holes to line up , which means you have to drill holes to get these to fit. Easier said than done as well as I didn't sign up for that. Definitely a case of you get what you pay for.
NO INSTRUCTIONS included. you may think no big deal, well it was to me. those clips they include: how are they to be used? over the edge of the speaker? under the speaker? on top of the speaker? total frustration.
but lets get to something even more important: the sound. no better than the ten year old stock speaker I was replaclng. I wired one of the new speakers on the left and left the old one on the right, just to compare. what a waste of time and effort on my part to install these " piles". nothing to differeniate itself from the old speaker, either at low or high volume. don't waste your time with these, won't fit anyway.
Yeah, they look cool. guess they had to, that's all they got to offer.
I'd write this off to bad luck but unfortunately that 's what I did with the first set of Pyle's I bought. a set of 6 X 9 for my BMW 2002. I also had to " customize" my rear parcel shelf to make those speakers fit.

So to repeat: these are not a drop-in replacement for the speakers on a 1999 Honda CR-V.
I'm looking elsewhere after wasting my money on these.

GOOD: 180watt Rms (if you know anything about car audio, you know that's a good volume.)
BAD: Personally, blue is kind of tacky.
UGLY: Anyone who says these speakers have any kind of bass is a liar. They don't. All you have to do is look at the specs on the box or website to see that they only pick up 90Hz. Good bass sound for these type of speakers is like 25-40Hz. But that didn't really bother me because that's why I have subwoofers.
OVERALL: If you're trying to upgrade from factory, grab these. If you're serious about getting some good sound... well you probably wouldn't be at this website in the first place.

Low Price Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

I was slightly hesitant about buying this brand til I spoke to people at Crutchfield and Best Buy. Both assured me that the quality is above average.

This particular model gives you the most features for the price. HD Radio is stunning!! I could not believe how clear it is! I bought this model for the Aux in, and the HD. I am impressed with everything so far.

This is the most bang for your buck!Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

I'd never heard of the Dual brand before, but learned more about them after looking at what HD-ready radios were available. I didn't know if I'd like HD radio (I do after using it), so price was a huge consideration as I didn't want to lay out loads of cash for something that might not be that great. And quite simply, this was the cheapest HD radio I found. Also, to include the additional features like front auxiliary input, USB port, CD, and Blue Tooth compatibility are incredible at this price point.

So, after installing the XHD6425 I can say that there is nothing about it that disappoints, and a lot about it that impresses. Installation was as simple as anything else I've done, it's quite intuitive to use, and the price is simply unbeatable. I don't know why anyone would pay more for anything else unless this radio doesn't have some feature you just have to have. Even if HD radio isn't your thing, the additional features and performance still make this a great bargain. At least until people catch on and the prices on Dual receivers go through the roof!Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

I initially needed a unit with remote but when I ran across this unit with HD radio and USB for the price I took the chance on an unfamiliar brand. After installation I was amazed with the quality and performance. The HD radio sounds great and my MP3 player with my whole collection was plug-in-play! The USB even charges the MP3 player when plugged in. I was so impressed I just purchased my 2nd unit for my truck. Cheapest Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

I recently purchased an 85 Benz wagon that came with a hole where some radio used to be. I looked around for a while to see what my options were and ran across this Dual unit which had a ridiculous array of features given its low price.

First, HD radio is great. I live in Los Angeles, where we have a ton of HD choices and the audio upgrade is stellar. I highly recommend it based on this feature alone.

Its MP3 playback capabilities are nice and flexible - get one of the PQI I-Stick thumb drives if you want some tiny plug-in storage for the front USB port. This is a *really* handy feature. Folder navigation and folder/title display are all well done

The styling works for me... modern w/o being too flashy and the removable faceplate is a good bonus. The flashing light after the faceplate's removal is a nice touch as well.

If I have any complaints, it's that it has no ability to interface with a dash dimmer and there is no line-in on the rear, just the jack on the face. Power output is a little thin, 17Wx4 but that's what outboard amps are for, right? For the price, these are all very minor points. The remote is pretty nice as well.

I didn't buy the outboard bluetooth module - seemed a little clunky. I'll wait for the next generation at this price point and replace this unit.

In the end, it sounds great, as easy to install as any other DIN head unit, has a ton of options and didn't break the bank. Easily the best thing you can buy at this price level.Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

Buying Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

First of all, I am not an audiophile, and I don't suppose this is the right deck for a true audiophile. But for the money, I'm not only happy with it, I'm more impressed than I imagined. I have a 10-year-old Outback in great shape with low miles, so no real excuse to buy a new car. However, I've been living with the factory-installed radio/cassette player all this time, so I decided to treat myself to a new unit that would play CDs and MP3s. I didn't even replace the speakers, but the sound out of this Dual deck is amazing by comparison - it's a real pleasure to listen to music. The HD tuner works great in North Seattle (we have a LOT of HD secondary stations here). The controls aren't too hard to figure out, you've got the Aux input, the USB input (with folder-up and folder-down navigation, easy to switch between albums in subdirectories) and a little remote control (which I didn't even realize til I saw the box). And it's also attractive - not intrusive with a bunch of bling like some cheap decks. For the price, this is an excellent upgrade. You can get the 6420 model without the USB for about $30 less, which otherwise looks and probably performs exactly the same.Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

Buy Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

This is a fantastic radio. It has Hybrid Digital (HD) Radio built in, a CD, MP3, WMA disk player built in, a USB port for playing MP3 and WMA and charging portables, a 3.5mm AUX front input for connecting a satellite receiver, Ipod, or other audio device, Bluetooth ready with optional adapter that I also bought separately for less than $50, remote control. So where is the catch? I don't know either. I thought maybe the sound quality, or fit-and-finish would be substandard, but I was pleasantly surprised. It sounds crisp and clear, and looks absolutely beautiful! What do I wish it had that it does not? Nothing at this price. What would I be willing to pay extra for? Changeable display and button colors, rear AUX input for permanent satellite receiver installation, dimmer control connection to vehicle. My conclusion: I will buy another one for my wife's car.Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

Purchase Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

I bought & installed this a little over a month ago, and so far I have not been disappointed! As other reviewers have mentioned, this unit by far offers the most bang for your buck! I was a little skeptical at first on whether I would be able to tell the difference between HD & Analog on my '92 Cherokee w/ stock speakers, but I could! Granted it would no doubt sound better on new speakers, but i'll live for now.

One of my favorite things about HD Radio are the radio stations w/ HD 2 & HD 3 stations. I live in Orlando where most of the stations are beggining to upgrade to HD, so there's no short supply of HD, but on almost all of the HD 2/3 stations there are no commercials!(an added bonus)

The ONE thing that I might change/add: an auto-scroll in order to view the information (time, station, artist, song, etc.) But that's just me being picky.

I would definately recommend this HD Radio to any prospective buyers!Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.

Order Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

I had installed a Alpine XM radio in my truck 3 years ago. I had 7 subscriptions for different devices all running XM. I then got angry that XM radio had started to play commercials on some of the channels so I decided to cancel my XM radio service and switch to HD Radio. Yes, I know HD radio has commercials but it is free and the sound quality is great.
I shopped around for new decks that had the features I was looking for.
1. HD Radio
2. Bluetooth
3. CDR support with MP3 play back & support.
4. Mobile media players support (iPod or similar device).

After checking several different vendors I came to find the Dual devices. The reason why I was leaning to the Dual decks was price for the deck and add-ons. I looked at the Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, and other units but was put-off by them because of the price for the add-on modules, (Bluetooth, Ipod Support, etc.) The decks ran anywhere from $100 to $900 dollars, which is fine but the modules, (Bluetooth), added anywhere from $150 to $300 dollars for each one. This brings the price above what I was willing to pay for a radio in my old pickup truck.
I ordered the Dual XHD6425 unit for under $120 and got the BTM-60 Bluetooth module for under $50. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised with how well the device worked.
Installation was straight forward. I have installed several car stereos over the years. I used the wire harness I bought with the Alpine unit which made it easier. There is one downfall, there is no dedicated sub-woofer output. I ended up plugging the sub woofer into the rear preamp connections.
The Bluetooth module clipped to the visor and ran down the inside of the side molding to the dashboard where I was able to fish it under the dash to the back of the deck. The cord was plenty long. Probably about 10 feet. It easily reached in my full size truck.

The unit it itself works great. Set up is fairly easy, but I did have to read the instruction on some items operation. HD radio sound is great and power is beyond what I need in my truck. I have never turned it all the way up yet and I usually listen to music pretty loud.
The Bluetooth works with out a hitch and it also supports the streaming of music from my Blackberry. It does not display the music info when streaming with bluetooth which sucks but what do you expect.

The USB support I have not had a chance to try yet. I did get a 4gig key but have not taken the time to move music to on to it.

All in all I would suggest this unit for the features included for the price and the add-on module price. I am very happy with the performance over all especially for $180 bucks.
