This unit repeatedly read "Protect" on an MP3 CD (CD was purchased, not home-recorded). Once this happened the player would not read any CD's, we got an "error" message when we tried to play any other CD's. The unit had to be reset, which required taking off the face plate & losing all our preset stations, time, etc. This had to be done several times & didn't seem to work unless we also turned off the car, and sometimes not even then. We are sending this unit back, not sure if it's defective or just a bad design.
