I just installed 4 of these speakers on my 2005 VW Fox. This car is not sold in the states if youre wondering. I upgraded my sound system and let me tell you that these speakers sound AWESOME. Just Headunit and Speakers, no Crossovers, no Amplifiers, no Subwoofer, nothing...still the sound is amazing. Additioanlly, since I live in a tropical climate where the temperature inside a car can reach way over 100 degrees Farenheit and the humidity is always above 80%, the "marine certified" is definetly the plus I was looking for since I know these speakers have been designed for more "extreme conditions" in comparison to other car speakers.
I absolutely recommed them to anyone looking to get awesome sound for a "not awesome" amount of cash. installation was a breeze, didnt use the grills that come with the speakers.
