This is a great unit. I love it. I have also disabled the safety feature the way others have posted - it's a really annoying thing to reset your parking brake.
My question is, every so often, the unit will lock up my Ipod - then - I have to unhook it and wait till the battery runs down and re connect it. It doesnt happen often, but when i'm on a long trip it really stinks!! Does anyone know why this happens? Do I need to shut it down everytime I get out of the car???
