I waited too long to install these and I'm really bummed because I wish I could return them. they don't fit and sound awful.
I bought these as , I thought, drop in replacements for my Honda CR-V's existing rear speakers. My honda is a 1999.
WRONG! I can't get two holes to line up , which means you have to drill holes to get these to fit. Easier said than done as well as I didn't sign up for that. Definitely a case of you get what you pay for.
NO INSTRUCTIONS included. you may think no big deal, well it was to me. those clips they include: how are they to be used? over the edge of the speaker? under the speaker? on top of the speaker? total frustration.
but lets get to something even more important: the sound. no better than the ten year old stock speaker I was replaclng. I wired one of the new speakers on the left and left the old one on the right, just to compare. what a waste of time and effort on my part to install these " piles". nothing to differeniate itself from the old speaker, either at low or high volume. don't waste your time with these, won't fit anyway.
Yeah, they look cool. guess they had to, that's all they got to offer.
I'd write this off to bad luck but unfortunately that 's what I did with the first set of Pyle's I bought. a set of 6 X 9 for my BMW 2002. I also had to " customize" my rear parcel shelf to make those speakers fit.
So to repeat: these are not a drop-in replacement for the speakers on a 1999 Honda CR-V.
I'm looking elsewhere after wasting my money on these.
