Cheapest Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player

I recently purchased an 85 Benz wagon that came with a hole where some radio used to be. I looked around for a while to see what my options were and ran across this Dual unit which had a ridiculous array of features given its low price.

First, HD radio is great. I live in Los Angeles, where we have a ton of HD choices and the audio upgrade is stellar. I highly recommend it based on this feature alone.

Its MP3 playback capabilities are nice and flexible - get one of the PQI I-Stick thumb drives if you want some tiny plug-in storage for the front USB port. This is a *really* handy feature. Folder navigation and folder/title display are all well done

The styling works for me... modern w/o being too flashy and the removable faceplate is a good bonus. The flashing light after the faceplate's removal is a nice touch as well.

If I have any complaints, it's that it has no ability to interface with a dash dimmer and there is no line-in on the rear, just the jack on the face. Power output is a little thin, 17Wx4 but that's what outboard amps are for, right? For the price, these are all very minor points. The remote is pretty nice as well.

I didn't buy the outboard bluetooth module - seemed a little clunky. I'll wait for the next generation at this price point and replace this unit.

In the end, it sounds great, as easy to install as any other DIN head unit, has a ton of options and didn't break the bank. Easily the best thing you can buy at this price level.Get more detail about Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth-Ready HD Radio and MP3 Player.
